About Jules

Dear reader,

My debut novel Dream Die Repeat, has fulfilled a lifetime ambition of publishing a fantasy novel. After 38 years in the financial industry, I took early retirement in 2019. Enrolling on a creative writing course with the Open University, I had a fantastic response to my submitted work.

​

I was also project managing the renovation of our beautiful 18th century cottage in a quaint village in the stunning North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the inspiration for this novel. I was intrigued by the previous occupants of the cottage, as the walls were stripped to the Yorkshire stone, I found evidence of Victorian and Georgian dwellers. Carved initials above the fireplace and outside by the kitchen door were also discovered.

 

Who lived here?

I live in Leicestershire, but my heart is in North Yorkshire. I enjoy joining the revellers at the bi-annual Whitby Goth Festival, the Ghost Walks around historical Whitby, and the numerous myths, legends, supernatural, and witch stories from this gothic town.
